Joystick not recognized in emulators

What does it show in System -> Settings -> Input -> Peripherals?

What if you press Select + X and go to Settings -> Controls and map the controller?

Hi @garbear thanks for your time...

System -> Settings -> Input -> Peripherals (Shield Controller is in Standby)

Select + X and go to Settings -> Controls and map the controller

Unfortunately, no changes

Here is the Controller Profile in userdata\addon_data\peripheral.joystick\resources\buttonmaps\xml\android:

Is it possible that I forgot something essential in advance?

Thanks for your help

My guess is that Mini Keyboard is first player, virtual-search is second player, and your Xbox controller is third player. Can you try a 4-player game?

Same issue ... even with the keyboard, I am unable to control the emulator.

Is it maybe a problem with Oreo? Or rather a genrelles problem with the SHIELD TV? Sorry for the many questions, I'm confused.

I need to reproduce this locally. I won't be able to test on a Shield for a few weeks, but hopefully by release I can fix the remaining Android joystick bugs.

I'll follow up here when I get Android working better. Could be a while before I'm able to set up a full debugging environment though.
