4K/30 GUI and 1080P/60 Video
#1
All,

Cant seem to find a definitive answer. Is it possible to set Kodi to 4k@30 and have it switch to 1080P@60 when playing video. I tried setting the match refresh rate, but then it goes to 4k@24 or 4k@60.

Sorry if this has been answered and I did not find it.

Thanks.

Which video types do you want to play? I mean, if you have a 4k@24 video, why would you want a 30 or 60fps setting?

I was looking at tv show videos. Are these produced at 30 or 60?

Thanks.

Not always. Most of my TV show are 25Hz. I also have shows at 23.976, 29.98 and 59.98.

Your TV should auto adjust to the signal it receives.

So keeping it at 4k/30 and having it auto switch to 24 should be fine for most content then? Thanks for all the info. Appreciate the help.
