AFAIK addons/metadata.* API requests for tvdb are made in http. It is time to migrate to https.

Are you sure that the servers there are prepared for the huge cpu load this will result in when we force https for millions of kodi users?

AFAIK, https does not cause loads that will crash? Do you have any real examples? I have asked the tmdb people. Lets hope they can answer tgis
