I would like to apologise in that the kodi I had installed turned out to have non kodi stuff on it , I have deleted the copy and reinstalled from the kodi site .So I hope it's clean now.
Anyways my problem is I have sound but no video I have tried all the ideas Iv'e seen so far so I am posting the log file if anyone can help me please I would be greatful.http://paste.unbuntu.com/25228974/

Could you try again. The instructions are in my signature. Use the Basic method. Once you have enabled debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging, restart Kodi then replicate the problem. In your case, try to play the movie. Once done upload to pastebin and link back here.

But don't type the address, just copy and paste it so you don't get it wrong again.

hi Karellen thanks for trying to help mate it's appriciated. I have tried several videos and things and uploaded to http://paste.ubuntu.com/25234979 I tried to watch the cooking channel/utube/ and several others all the same the sounds there but the video isnt

Better, but you did not enable debugging mode. Can you go to Setttings>System Settings>Logging. First option should be "Enable Debugging" or something similar. Enable it.

Then restart Kodi. Once restarted, play one of your movies missing the sound. Let it play a few minutes. Upload again.

Most likely due to video hardware acceleration being turned on but not working.
