v17 How to deal with episodes of documentaries?
#1
Hi,
I have downloaded quite a lot of documentaries as part of a television programme etc (history, nature etc). As of now i have them coded as programmes with seasons and episodes.
However, this is not satisfactory.
1. I can hardly find any information on the programmes themselves.
2. I am not so much interested in the programme but rather in the single episode and would like to know what this is about (Stonehenge or WWI or dinosaurs?) but I cannot tag episodes or download any fanart.
How do you deal with documentaries.
Do you pretend them all to be single movies?

which documentaries? https://thetvdb.com/?string=documentarie...ion=Search may help with naming and sorting if on any of those lists. I've had to manually do so in the past.

IMPORTANT:
The official Kodi version does not contain any content what so ever. This means that you should provide your own content from a local or remote storage location, DVD, Blu-Ray or any other media carrier that you own. Additionally Kodi allows you to install third-party plugins that may provide access to content that is freely available on the official content provider website. The watching or listening of illegal or pirated content which would otherwise need to be paid for is not endorsed or approved by Team Kodi.

Hi and thanks,
this is just what I needed but as far as I can see thetvdb.com features only American documentaries. Most of my docus are German...

Correction: a lot of documentaries are there but hardly providing any information.
Besides I still am not sure how to actually select content for watching, e.g. if i want to watch some documentary on, say, Alaska I am not wondering whether it's gonna be the an NBC or Sky documentary...
Besides I am finding it hard to have them included with programmes like, say, Fawlty Towers. I wish I could separate documentaries from this kind of series.

You can... http://kodi.wiki/view/Video_management#H....2C_etc.29

You can also check https://www.themoviedb.org/ to see if they are listed there.
