Scott, thanks for all the testing and feedback on Git.
1) Yes as intended, don't really want to compare scraper setting xml to find an exitsing one. NFO scraper currently does not have any settings, but didn't want to treat that one scraper differently.
2) Gaps in IDs happen in all the tables. Compaction happens on clean or migration. The artists and song tables are more likely to give issues that you are thinkng about than InfoSettings, and I have not seen any reports. Of course a future change to a true update strategy for everything, rather than current delete/insert approach would be nice.
