Video Stream doesn't play
#16
The video stream works in Kodi 17.3 on Raspbian, using the default video options (MMAL enabled, OMXPlayer disabled), but like in Librelec test builds, it plays upside down.
It plays in correct orientation if you disable MMAL and enable OMXPlayer.
If it doesn't work for you like mentioned above, you might need to enable the extra codecs, this is easily achieved by enabling the camera module in raspi-config and rebooting.

You still have to pay for that 2 codecs, but you don't need them to play that stream. The video stream codec is VP6, not MPEG2 or VC1!

To be able to play GPU accelerated software codecs on Raspbian, like VP6, VP8, MJPEG, Theora, etc, you need to add start_x=1 to config.txt, or use raspi-config and enable camera.
Dedicated Kodi OSs like LibreELEC already have this enabled by default, but not Raspbian!

Hello,

I have read again :-)

"need to enable the extra codecs, this is easily achieved by enabling the camera module in raspi-config and rebooting."

That are the answer ... it work...

Raspbian Jessy Pixel
Kodi 1.73
raspi-config: Interfacing Options/P1 Camera enable
raspi-config: Advanced Options/Memory Split 256

Now:

db0yz-lq.strm as video
with: http://atvstream.mooo.com:8220/live.nsv
as vp62 codec run.

Very thk for all help.
