Hello, Kodi initially loaded and then froze. I followed some of the forums and did a complete uninstall and reinstall, but now will will not start up, screen flashes and then closes. I followed the steps to setup Debug Logging. I posted the Crash Log here https://pastebin.com/sw7yRqSV

it crashes in libva (va-api). the why can't be read from the log but i suspect it's the outdated intel cpu in use.

I would probably try with a stable Kodi 17.3 from the team-xbmc/ppa rather than to try a bleeding edge nightly on an ancient CPU

Thanks for the responses and your help, I followed Linux Mint's upgrade instructions for 18.2 and after everything was upgraded Kodi now installs and works fine, thanks again for your help
