So, here I am :-)

I still missing some entries in the current JSON-RPC API:

VideoLibrary.SetMovieSetDetails
- not possible to set the movieset overview/plot

VideoLibrary.GetSeasons
- does not return the "* All Seasons" entry (season value -1)

VideoLibrary.GetSeasonDetails
- not possible to get the "* All Seasons" entry (with filter "season value = -1")

VideoLibrary.SetSeasonDetails
- not possible to set any detail for the "* All Seasons" entry, even if you use the correct ID
- not possible to set the season plot
- not possible to set the season title

A year and some later, I've submitted a PR for movie collection plot and season title. The Kodi library doesn't have a field for season plot to expose over JSON-RPC, and "* All seasons" is more work yet.
