I am new to Kodi but I have been using NextPVR (4.04) on Windows 7 for some time and decided to try Kodi as a different front end. So I installed Kodi 17.3 and then 17.4-RC1 and am having problems getting the NextPVR client to install. I go to the settings screen for NextPVR Clent and click on the NextPVR Hostname and it pops open with 127.0.01 and click OK. The ne previous screen shown the hostname as 127.0.0.1, but as soon as I do anything after that, it no longer shows the proper hostname setting after I kick OK on the screen. I have not yet been able to get Kodi to accept the NextPVR as its backend program. I have tried over and over, installing and uninstalling. Opening up NextPVR to see if there is a setting there I have overlooked. Any one out there have a solution

Is NextPVR on the same machine?

Is the web server working on your NextPVR setup? ie, can you open a browser on that machine and view the http://127.0.0.1:8866 web page?

It sounds like the NextPVR side of things is ok.

You'll probably need to turn on debug logging in Kodi, reproduce the problem, then post the kodi.log
