With the fast playback in Krypton I'm almost ready to leave WMC!
The last feature keeping me from moving is fast playback of in-recording TV.

I love football but I don't have time for 3+ hours a game. So I record it and about 1 hour into the game I'll start watching at 1.3x speed skipping commercials. It ends at the same time as live.
If I run out of recorded game it starts playing at normal speed.

I tried using the fast playback keys (alt + arrow right) while watching an in-progress recording but it didn't work. How hard would it be to implement something like this?

What PVR addon do you use and how exaclt did you play this in-progress recording?

I've tried it in both NextPVR and ServerWmc. To play it I went to TV > Recordings > Recording Now.

That's an issue with those addons. They flag all recordings as realtime streams: https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.nextpvr/...t.cpp#L711

Self-explanatory that realtime streams can't played faster.

Ah, it sort of works in TvHeadend. I'll try some of the other servers that support the IsRealTimeStream() function.
