Kodi on WD DL2100 NAS
#1
Hi everyone,
I searched every where for this topic. Can I add Kodi the WD platform?
So I can run Kodi server from my NAS instead my laptop.

Please advise
Thanks.

Kodi is not designed as a server application.
Some NAS software allows the Kodi application to run, but still not as server.

The NAS itself is able to serve files much better than Kodi.
Perhaps you need to rethink your use case with Kodi.

No, you use your NAS to store your local media which you then add as a share on your Kodi client devices.

Actually for WD NASs all you have to do is open the UI from a browser, go to Apps and install Plex Media Server. And there are ways to use Plex with Kodi.
