I have personal home videos stored on external drive. Original sort is in folders by year ((2012, 2013, 2014,.....). They all play fine in KODI. So now on the same hard drive I set up a folder called EVENTS and inside that I have folders for ( Christmas, Thanksgiving,........). I created Alias videos to link back to the Videos in the various years and placed in the Events folders. Kodi does not like the Alias' as they do not even show up as a video in those folders.. They play fine outside Kodi. . Any suggestions. Really not wanting to put multiple copies of the videos on the hard disk just to have sorting options for the 300 or so videos.
