Hello,
For about 3-4 months, I experience systematic crashes with Kodi 17.3.
I did not post this earlier here as :
1. I wanted to dig through the crash myself
2. Thought that I'd not be the only one and with a bit of patience, an update would magically fix it.
Unfortunately, no fix so far, therefore I decided to give it a shot on the forum.
I'm running Kodi 17.3 on a "headless" system (no X, but of course a TV attached
).
Crashes are experienced with certain files only, and according to dmesg they seem to be related to subtitles display.
Same file plays fine when disabling subtitles through OSD.
Dmesg output :
I've enabled debugging logs, checked the crashlogs and everything but nothing shows up.
You can see Kodi openening the file, starting playback, attaching output devices (video/audio), and then the file just ends.
dmesg was the only trace that a crash had occured.
Seems more likely to be related to libass, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
