Hello,Is the first time I try to install kodi on my PC (Windows 10) but I can't make it work.

I installed kodi from Windows store but when I run it crashes with a message "xbmcfoundation.kodi_xxxxx.... has stopped working", I uninstalled an reinstalled , same thing
I uninstalled it and installed from installer (kodi-17.4-Krypton-x86.exe), when run same problem "Kodi has stopped working". I uninstalled an reinstalled , same thing
I uninstalled it and installed a 64 bit development build "KodiSetup-20170915-1a06e0d-master-x64.exe" this time when run it just do nothing (no error, kodi don't open)

My PC:

Windows 10 pro
Intel i7 950
18 GB DDR3
Asus Rampage III Extreme
AMD HD 5970 2GB
TOSHIBA OCZ TR150 480GB SSD
24" 1920x1200 monitor (DVI) + 32" 1280x720 TV (HDMI)

I installed again kodi-17.4-Krypton-x86.exe and enabled debug log (I disabled TV Screen for test)

Most of these issues are driver-oriented, ensure you are running the AMD driver set-up and not the MS install, and although AMD supports windows 10 on the 5900 series card http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles...pport.aspx some users have had better luck with legacy drivers. FTW: GPU software drivers must support the DirectX 11 Feature Level 9.1 (which means the DX11 API has been implemented in the GPU software driver to be compatible with DX9 hardware) Windows FAQ (wiki) and in that statement, we are close to the limit of this graphics engine. You might try to turn off Areo to see if that will push Kodi into submission.

You might have better luck with one of the direct X 9 legacy versions of Kodi

Thanks for reply . but my graphic card is fully DX11 hardware compatible, I have legacy AMD driver (Catalyst software suite 15.201.1151.1008-151104a-296217E), I tried with Kodi 16.0 with the same problem.

Then I tried Kodi 15.2 and this works fine for me.

Finally I thought that the problem may be that the Radeon HD5970 is an one-board integrated CrossfireX card (has 2 GPUs on the same card), I had crossfireX active for all applications, i disabled it and magic! kodi 17.4 works now.

Thanks for providing the log on your first post. Unfortunately, Debug Mode is not enabled, so it is hard to diagnose the problem. But it crashes immediately after running through supported resolutions of your graphics card which is the Intel® HD Graphics 520 which is not that old.

Can you try creating the log again, but using these instructions... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=323719

Also, what have you pasted at the end of the log?
