(17.3) I've tried adding extrafanart folder and it's not working. Artworkdownloader seems to work for Music Video artists. But I'm trying to find a way to do it for music artist. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

You will need to use a skin that supports extrafanart for music or maybe you need to enable it in the skin somewhere.
Most skins that do support this, use my Skinhelper Service add-on to provide this functionality.
