I think I have managed to find the required information. Thank you so much for giving me proper directions.

There are two files in the log dump. The first one is from a fresh reboot until I reproduced the problem. This is the file called kodi.problem.log. Then it was in this state for a while (where it shows the channel selection menu) and I selected enter and started playing again. This file is called kodi.problem.after.enter.log

The logs are a dead page.

Please upload to a pastebin type site.

I changed the URL - it needed the www in front for some reason. http://www.knubo.no/logs/logs.zip

I don't get it why would anyone unplug the LAN cable?

And also, doesn't the OK button on the remote simulate enter?

The problem is not that someone is disconnecting the LAN cable, but the fact that sometimes the LAN isn't as stable as we want it to be.

The remote control that is in use is a Seki Slim remote. It has power button, channel up, channel down, volume up, volume down and a mute button. So unfortunatly the users cannot click OK to carry on viewing. The solution is aimed for old people that should turn on the power button (turns on the TV) and see the TV in full screen mode. If this channel is not what you want, they use the up and down channel to select channels. There is only a handful of channels to select from, so this is ok (This is Norway :-) )

By design it is ment to be as simple as can be and this is the world that's been set up.

Hi there, didnt have the time to look at your specific remote.
Does the remote supports longpress buttons?

If yes, you could longpress one button to simulate "OK". For that you need a keymap.xml
Information are here: http://kodi.wiki/view/Alternative_keymap...on_remotes
http://kodi.wiki/view/keymap#Long-press
Backend: Asrock N3150 with Ubuntu 22.04 Server with TvHeadend
Living Room: Nvidia Shield with Kodi
Other Kodi Clients: Coreelec, Mibox, Windows
