How to restore previous remote controler buttons behaviour?
#1
I have a Sony TV and Kodi installed on my SHIELD. I use the TV remote controller with HDMI-CEC to control the SHIELD and Kodi itself.

On Kodi 16 I could press both the play and the pause buttons on the TV controller to either play/pause the movie accordingly. I could also fast-forward or rewind a video and pressing play would immediately resume video playback. But with Kodi 17 I need to press play to play a video and pause to pause a video, the play button does not pause while the movie is playing and the pause button does not play while the video (this worked on Kodi 16). Also, while fast-forwarding or rewinding a video, I need to first pause the video before I can resume playback.

I did a clean install and reconfigured everything manually between my Kodi 16 to Kodi 17 migration but I don't recall having anything manually configured for these buttons behavior. Is there a way I can restore the old behavior?

You can use http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Keymap_Editor to map the functions to whichever keys you want.

I was never able to understand how to map keys on a remote controller... do I just press the controller button? Because all shortcuts already listed there seem to be keyboard shortcuts.
