Is there a way to cycle between the ASS/SSA subtitles embedded in an mkv-file?
And can a .srt subtitle override the ASS/SSA embedded subtitles somehow?

Looked around a bit but havn't found anything.

I do not think XBMC's in-house developed video-player ("DVDPlayer") supports ASS/SSA subtitles yet, nor is embedded subtiles supported yet, see:

Multiple external SRT subtitles is supported however, you can cycle through those using the OSD, see:
