v17 DVD ISO fails to play back; ISO seems valid (plays in other tools)
#1
Kodi 17.4 (and nightly 64 bit build from 14 Oct 2017)
Windows 10 Pro, 64 Bit,
Intel Core i7 (64 bit)
12GB

5. Detailed Instructions to reproduce the Problem (The more specific the better.)

Select the DVD ISO to play; it hangs with black screen. Clicking the mouse shows the progress bar rapidly moving from 0:00 to 0:02 on a duration bar that shows a total of 0:01 sec.

6. Details of all devices relevant to the problem

I suspect the devices are less relevant; I also have the same problem with Kodi (17.4) on an Android TV device playing the same ISO.

7. FULL Debug Log (see Section 3 below.)

Thanks; I saw that and tried the nightly builds...but didn't realize there was a nightly build of 18...which also fail.

My case differs from the above case in that it's only a small number of old-ish DVDs that fail. Most work no matter what age.

Loge file from 18 Alpha 1: https://paste.ubuntu.com/25763758

Edit:

I suspect this bit from the log is most relevant and explains the continuous loop:

Ok, that is unusual. I think this is the first report stating it does not work.

Hopefully a developer will see your post today and make comment.

Hope so; I can also report it fails to play on 16.1 and the nightly build of 18 on 19-Oct.

Further to this it seems to relate only to ISO playback. If I copy directly to folders (AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS), it plays fine.
