SOCKS 5 settings are being ignored, I was told this isn't a bug but a missing feature, can we have this feature please?

I tried setting up the SOCKS5 Proxy on mine and it blocked my direct links to my server on my internal network. So not sure if that means it works but would like it to be able to recognize the difference between local IP (inside network) and external IP (outside network).
