The TVDB scrapper broken after update?
#1
I saw someone posted the same problem on discourse.osmc.tv but apparently there was an update to The TVDB addon and Kodi can't update
its library with TV information.

Log (in 01_KODI) has this error repeated:

ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 404 for https://api.thetvdb.com/series/313270/images/query?keyType=fanart|Authorization=bearer ....

For each show it attempts to get information for followed by a warning saying no information found and it won't be added to the library.

Anyone know anything, like how to report to the addon author?

I'm not really sure what that's telling me ... I'm running Kodi 17.3 on three (3) Raspberry Pi 3s (OpenElec 8.0.4) The TVBD addon auto updated to 2.0.1 on all three Monday (10-30) and the TV library stopped updating and the logs on all three have the same errors.

Should I be running some other version of something?

Oh wait, just saw the last few entries ... so this is known and being looked then if I'm reading correctly.

Yes exactly.

The add-on developer is actively fixing the issue. He is hoping to have an update out in the next couple of days all going well.

It turns out there is also an issue with Special Episodes as described in this thread... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=323354

This will also be fixed.

If you have shows to scrape, you can either use NFO Files or revert back to v1.8.5 of the scraper

Thank You.  I was initially going to revert back to an older version to see what happened but I'm not having any luck finding a zip file with 1.8.5 and if there's a way to do it in Kodi I haven't figured it out ... yet.

I'll just keep an eye on the thread you linked to from here on

To roll back to 1.8.5 see here... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2662065

If that doesn't work, my next post in that thread gives the link to download

Just be aware that rolling back to 1.8.5 is just a temporary solution so you can scrape your shows now. It will upgrade back to 2.0.1 or higher when the new scraper is released.

I am also having this issue, for maybe a month now - guessing it was the update from 1.x to 2.x - and eventually got sick of this thing now working...

Looking at the log file, it looks very much like an auth issue around the scraper not having the correct credentials (maybe because Legacy?) - here is a snippet:

I could be wrong? If I put the above url into my browser, I see:

{"Error": "Not authorized"}

Please let me know if you need to see the entire log file, or anything else...

Cheers!

Welcome to the forums.
Please don't post partial logs.
Please don't post logs in the forum -use a paste site.

So, full debug log on a paste site please.

(PS if you are using OpenELEC, I think it is broken, LibreELEC is not. I suggest an upgrade)

And if you haven't already found it, see the link below which had full details about the v1.x to v2.x upgrade and why it's needed.
