Hello, new member here, I just wanted to discuss a disconnect issue i'm having in Kodi with a LAN stream I've setup which is basically VLC running a playlist file set to random on a headless Linux server i have in my house. I'm connecting locally with a .strm file.
Kodi seems to have no troubles seamlessly playing mp4 files as long as they live in the same directory, when one video ends the next video starts as you would expect a stream to play; however, if the VLC server has to grab the next video out of a different directory (on the same HD) then kodi tends to drop the stream.
Does anyone know if there's a timeout parameter I can put into the .strm? I'm wondering if it takes an extra second for the server to fetch the next playlist item out of a new folder so Kodi gives up and just drops the stream.
