Req custom Trailer filenames
#1
Hello,

I am requesting to option to set filenames for downloaded trailers.

Let's say I have a file named Movie.1999.720p.BluRay.DTS.x264-HiDt.mkv and I want to download the trailer from the app,
it will download the trailer as Movie.1999.720p.BluRay.DTS.x264-HiDt-trailer

Later on, I find a better encode of Movie.1999 and it is filename is Movie.1999.BluRay.720p.x264.AC3-npuer.mkv but the downloaded trailer will still be Movie.1999.720p.BluRay.DTS.x264-HiDt-trailer

I would like the option for trailers to be named <movie>.<year>.<resolution>-trailer

Well, despite what you want, Kodi finds trailers only in <filename>-trailer.ext format.
And there can be only one trailer file.

When this requirement changes, we might expand that, but for now we probably won't...

PS:
When you find a better trailer - what is the usecase for keeping the bad one?

Ok, I wasn’t aware that tmm was designed for Kodi I was thinking it was more of a AIO media manager. I use PLEX and it will find the trailer as long as it is in the same directory as the movie and ends with -trailer.ext

The trailer is not what I upgrade it is the film, but because if the current settings the trailer will still have the filename of my deleted file.

example.

Movie (1999)
  Movie.1999.AAC.720.mkv
  Movie.1999.AAC.720-trailer.com (grabbed with tmm)

and then I update the movie file

Movie (1999)
  Movie.1999.DTS.1080.mkv
Movie.1999.AAC.720-trailer.com (still has the filename tmm assigned)

Ah ok.
That way round.
Yes, should already work.
At least, when the movie is in it's own folder.

Just replace movie with better quality one,
press update inside TMM
and after a "rename & cleanup" the trailer should match the video filename again...

But there will be no extra renaming - trailer name will always just match the video filename...

Kodi is pleased,
Plex doesn't care at all,
what about you? :D

I can deal, for me it may be better to manually snatch my trailers anyways.

Off topic question, is there a way to save original filename to the .nfo?
