Kodi 18.0 addon, repo, source issues
#1
Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon 64 bit 3.4.6
Kodi 18.0 alpha1 git 20171120-67fd70f
Skin estuary mod v2 version 2.8.8
kernel -4.10.0-40-generic
Intel core i5-4210U

Having a lot of issues. I tried to upload Kodi 17.6 but was unsuccessful. I was able to upload 18 and have tried to downgrade with no success. I understand this is unstable version (i’m also a noobie) but I can’t add any sources, repos, or addons. If I add a source, I cant download the zip. If I have a zip file, or the repo, I still can’t download scripts or addons.

Why are you using 18? It is really only for testing at this stage.

please show us the output of
Code:
apt-cache policy kodi

it might help if you specify which add-ons and repos you want to install. and as a side note: this might turn out to be a problem:

Quote:10:56:49.413 T:140166928488832  NOTICE: ADDONS: Using repository repository.tva.common

Glad you managed to get the stable version installed.

@hansl is correct on both points.
