New T3CH build, can't scrape anything.

Dare978Devil Wrote:I had the same problem when I upgraded a Sept 2007 T3CH build to the April 6th 2008 build. On top of the scraper behaving oddly, the IMDB scraper "Settings" button was there, was apparently selectable, but didn't do anything when I pressed it.

I installed the April 6th build into a brand new directory (clean install), and only copied over my old sources.xml file. Then when I told XBMC to go and grab Movie Info from IMDB, it worked perfectly. All the images came down, as well as cast, movie info, ect. Also, IMDB scraper settings now worked.

So it looks to me as if the upgrade to the new version is the problem, rather than a problem in the new version.

DD.

The problem seems to be isolated to when you try to search one individual TV show not when your scaning movies or running a scan on everything.Did you try to scan one tv show only?Atleast I know this is the problem some of us are having.

I too just upgraded to the latest tech build.

Having the following problem. Certain series automagically scan in as something else. Eg. Flash Gordon (2007) scans in as Flash Gordon Space something something. When i try the tvshow.nfo method, this is what i get in the logs:

Code:
15:50:45 M: 23683072   DEBUG: Found matching nfo file: xbms://192.168.2.50:1400/Series I/Flash Gordon (2007)/tvshow.nfo
15:50:45 M: 23691264   DEBUG: Not a proper xml nfo file (Error document empty., col 0, row 0)

Here is the contents of the tvshow.nfo:

Code:
http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=80441&lid=7

I am also hosting this from a XBMSP server via ccxstream if that makes any difference at all.

Oh and the series is stored as such:

Series/Flash Gordon (2007)/Season 1/

The tvshow.nfo sits in:

Series/Flash Gordon (2007)/

I have tried putting it in Season 1, made no difference.

I don't scan individual shows, i scan in my Series folder. And like i said it is on an XBMSP server via ccxstream.

This may not be the proper way to fix these things but I tweak the name a little to get the correct result.Even though the individual scan sticks it will still look up the name it just sticks on info.Look it up hit manually keep tweaking til the media you want comes up first choice. After you found a working combo rename the file that.Do another complete scan. This is the only way to do it until our bug gets fixed.

Mate, i've tried tweaking the name, but it just won't seem to detect (in the case of flash gordon). Ill keep trying, and tmrw ill try to setup samba on my server to see if that helps.

What does "msvcr71.dll" do and I can't seem to find it anywhere ?

ahhh.... no edit button on this forum Sad

Problem should of explained what i did.

Turnned on XBOX and picked XBMC

Went straight into Videos

Went and picked a TV Show, and picked a random one.

Selected INFO on this TV show

"Loading TV Show Details" dialogue box appears

Just sits there, can't cancel !!

Can FTP and download log or go into web interface, can select stuff, but nothing will play.

Hope this helps.

Just looking at the last entry in the log (see a couple of posts before for FULL log) before it hangs, it looks like it identifies each season and episode correctly, what is meant to come after it does this ? what file can I look at to trouble shot this, clearly there is something a miss here !

And sorry, last thing for the night....

This only hangs on a single scan of a TV show, it seems to work fine when you go the scan for new content.

I was going to report this bug but decided to do a search first Big Grin
So here I am, not really tossing anything new to the mix, but here's a debug log from my attempt at scanning my Simpsons/ directory:

http://paste.stgraber.org/2385

In case it hasn't been pointed out: xbmc is not completely frozen during this -- I can ftp to the box and pull down xbmc.log while xbmc is hanging.

Updating the entire folder won't help for me because the thetvdb scraper guesses incorrect shows for CSI (it thinks it is CSI:NY) and The Simpsons (it thinks it's some other weird show).

Check my last post in this topic this is how I am getting my stuff until the bug gets fixed its not the correct way but it does work.I would rather have to switch a few names back around than deal with an unkept library.

Having the same issue as everyone else here, only thing to contribute to the one poster trying to the The Simpsons loaded, switching over to THE_SIMPSONS instead of just SIMPSONS worked for me.

IMDB lookups are working just fine, but I can't scrape anything from thetvdb.com with the most recent T3CH build (had the same problem with the 4-06-08 T3CH build too). I've tried individual shows, and going to the root folder and doing a "Scan for new content", and both ways it doesn't return anything. Link to my debug log is below, looks like it is finding the shows OK, but then I'm getting 404 errors from thetvdb when it tries to load the info. In the log I try two individual shows and then a full scan.

I was just actually looking at the Changes since last build for the latest build of T3CH (2008-04-20 SVN rev12746-REPACK) and one of the changes mentions the problem briefly, so they are aware of it ! So we just need to wait I guess Sad

fixed: random crash bug when updating library or scanning for new content. Unfortunately this will not fix the freeze bug when scanning a single tv show.
