Amazon Fire TV - Stuttering Playback
#1
I have an Amazon Fire TV and an Nvidia Shield.  Playback on a couple of movies seems to stutter at some scenes with audio being out of sync too on the Amazon Fire TV.  It seems fine on the Shield.  Both are running same versions as I am sharing a MySQL DB and I have followed the guide and used the recommended settings on the Fire TV.  Hoping someone can help?

I enabled debugging, restarted Kodi and launched the movie 'Jungle' from the scene where it stutters and ran it for around 45 seconds.  Please see log.

ok, I have no deeper knowledge of Android but looking at your log with common sense gives a few clues:

First, the following lines will prove difficult, as those repos / addons are banned. I know the file you play is a local mkv-file and not from those addons but the rules on banned repos are clear: zero tolerance... So just remove them and repost Smile

However, most of you log consists of this message. You might try to update ffmpeg.
Quote:00:08:46 T:18446744072582131200 DEBUG: ffmpeg[BCCCEE00]: [dca] Core auxiliary data reserved content is not implemented. Update your FFmpeg version to the newest one from Git. If the problem still occurs, it means that your file has a feature which has not been implemented.

that's all my ignorant self can see...

cheers

Thanks.  Hopefully these log files are better?  It's happening on two videos now.  With regards to the second log file, i'm also experiencing the same issues on my other device (Nvidia Shield).

How do I update ffmpeg?

Hmm I can't see it listed under repositories. Is this something part of SPMC by default?

From your logfile:

00:01:38 T:18446744072516089656 DEBUG: ADDON: cpluff: 'Plug-in repository.xbmchub has been installed.'

And no. I highly guess that's nothing which is default for SPMC as this repo is under our list of banned add-ons and repositories.

It's still there, and no it is not a default part of Kodi or SPMC.
Why not simply start fresh by deleting your kodi profile folder?

As I said it's not the fault of Kodi but Amazon; it was fine until a few Fire TV updates ago.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was sarcasm or not.  So this is a widespread issue then? great.
