v18 Natively compiled on RPi, missing some add-ons
#1
Hi there,

i'm currently running a RetroPie that i set up using their most recent image, which is still based on Debian Jessie. I then installed the Kodi Port for retropie and wanted to update to Kodi 18 Leia. Did so following this guide and adjusting to my needs: http://blog.nunosenica.com/compiling-kod...-raspbian/

The compilation went fine and i was able to create all the .deb files and install them. I can now successfully launch Kodi 18 through the RetroPie menu, which was my goal. The only problem i have is that some of the add-ons didn't upgrade and because they were built for a lower API version, Kodi refuses to launch them.
In particular these are the plugins: peripheral.joystick, pvr.iptvsimple, inputstream.adaptive and inputstream.rtmp
When i'm trying to update it says there is no newer version available. I'm wondering how i can get Kodi to fetch a newer / the most recent version so that these plugins run. Do i need to recompile? But how? From the documentation i found here i thought when i add the respective (pluginname).txt files from for example https://github.com/xbmc/repo-binary-addo...iptvsimple it would compile that plugin in the process, but that didn't work. So maybe i just need to update the repository? How can i do that? I'm a bit lost. Any pointing into the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks!
