Is it possible to make loading images (background, thumbnail, fanart, etc) faster?

Hi,

I store all my Kodi content on local NAS, to load Kodi I use android box.

Is it possible to somehow download all the images for my media library on my android box or NAS, so it will load faster? I have hundreds of movies and tv shows and Kodi struggles to load them fast at the start.

I am not sure, maybe it is already loading them from local file, is there a way to check if I load it all from web or from local folder?

Thanks

Hello Nolf

When you scrape media into the library, Artwork is cached in the Kodi Userdata folder. It won't be accessing local or remote files every time you switch on Kodi.

A little blurb on caching... http://kodi.wiki/view/Artwork/Cache
Wiki pages or Artwork... http://kodi.wiki/view/Artwork

Possibly underpowered hardware, or a NAS issue at startup. Provide a debug log (wiki) and we might be able to see what is happening.

I note that you posted in Titan skin forum. Is this because you know it to be a skin issue, or just weren't sure where else to post? If you change to the default Estuary skin, do you still have problems?

It is possible you may be using optional artwork like ExtraFanart, ExtraThumbs. If you are, Kodi is trying to access the local files directly as they are not cached due to being a Skin function, not a Kodi core function.
