Maybe someone can help or has dealt with this before...
My TV supports 25hz and 50hz, but does not report that it does via EDID.
Thus the Shield TV and Kodi can not switch to those resolutions for applicable content which results in very jerky playback due to a framerate conversion.
With other media players I can manually set the output resolution but I figured the Shield would be even more configurable... I just have not been able to figure out how.
Someone suggested adding the resolutions I need to the android modes file. I'm not even sure that would work, but I would love to try... but no matter what I can't get write access to that file.
