Can't access Windows 10 shared files via Windows network (SMB)
#1
Hi, new to KODI and this forum.

I recently got a Raspberry Pi 3 on which I installed KODI. I want to be able to stream videos from my Windows 10 PC to my Pi connected to my TV. When i try to add files via Windows network (SMB) the file browser shows nothing. Not workplace nor workgroup.
I can access my Pi/openelec/KODI from Windows via network and see the files on the device.

I've tried making a new workgroup without results.
I've tried sharing different folders from different drives on my PC including an external one.
I've changed the settings in my homegroup so that everyone in that group can access them.

I'm running Windows 10 N.
I'm running both my PC and my Pi on a wired internet connection.
I'm running the 8.0.3 version of KODI.

I'm extremely thankful for any support!

Regards, Axel

OK lets try this in English, not my main language, Go into your control panel, Program, Program & settings (or functions), Aktivate or inactivate Windows Settings (or functions), scroll down to and mark support for SMB 1.0/CIFS,filesharing and if you need some stuff changes click the plus on the side.   Hope my English not to bad and hope this can solve your problem, If it is already marked try to remove it and restart and then add it and restart. -This is all I know-

Oh and remember if you're stuff suport newer SMB stuff than leave SMB 1.0 OFF as it is not very secure.
