17.3 is the latest version I can find.  Is there really no 17.6?  Thank you.

No, there are no more x86 Android builds.  Just use the ARM version.

The version from the Play Store does nothing bu crash on  start.  Is it different from the ARM version?  I thought the Play Store was the ARM version.  Thank you.

The Play Store version will either be ARM or ARM64 depending on your device/Android version.

If it's crashing on startup then you'll need to provided a Crash report (wiki).

Thanks for replying.  I am running on an Intel NUC PC using Android 7.1 RC2.  So, it's definitely Intel hardware.  The 17.3 X86 version does not crash.  I can send the report when I am back home if you still think it's helpful in this case.

I thought I might get a further reply which would make it moot, but the link posted for crash report does not work....
