I noticed that strangely 'BD' in a file name does not flag it as being a BluRay. (Though I have wonder if this is because it's so short that false positive may be frequent) Is it possible for me to add it? I'd also like to know more in general if and how a user can add additional custom media flags. 'Remux' to also ding up as being a 'Blu-Ray' would be nice too. Plus, with a library of anime, I'd know to know if it's possible to do any language specific media flags. I'm reading the Wiki but as for modification, it doesn't offer much information.

As I understand it - might be wrong - the media flag is the icon you see in the gui, not the tag you apply to a filename to make it show up - so what you want is a non-standard way to make a standard (ie non-custom) media flag appear. Given my understanding I would have replied along similar lines to skylarking.
It's more than possible my understanding media flags is rubbish though.

What I want is to add more options as to what gets tagged. Like adding 'BD' and 'Remux' to the list of words in a file name that result in the Blu-Ray icon showing up inside of Kodi. And, additionally, if there's any media tag options for languages. Though in regard ot languages, that may be skin specific? Heck maybe even the standard tags are a skin issue and not a 'Kodi' issue. I dunno.

You need to ask that question in the skin forum for the skin you are using. Haven't read it recently, but pretty sure the wiki page states it is skin dependent
