Hello everyone,

Sorry to the admins if I'm in the wrong place to post this.

I would like to set a system on an ubuntu server which would do the following tasks :
  - movies/series uploads on the server via ftp
  - auto parsing/scraping of the new files uploaded, then getting all the media data (years, actors, covers...)
  - those infos should then be accessed from a mobile app based on Kodi for streaming (I have a plugin which is already created for this)

You might have a better response in the Linux section, given your interest in a system on an ubuntu server.

tranfering files is not what Kodi does.
- auto parsing/scraping etc
Kodi does this natviely

Can you clarify what you mean by this?  Offer content off your ubuntu server via FTP?
