Thought I was having memory/cache issues (hence large buffer), but finally managed to isolate the issue to the up button on AFTV remote causing the video playback to stop. Would appreciate a veteran's more experienced look in case I'm missing something obvious.

Without a fix, perhaps I'll just remap the key to something else so I don't lock up Kodi.

Don't think this is a KODI issue. I get similar delay seeking on other network connected devices.
