Good evening, I recently bought a ElectriQ 50" android TV so I could install kodi for my boys and me instead of using our ( out old date) mx boxes....

Now we get sound on the TV when using the Xbox.... We get sound on the TV when we are watching showbox but got the love of me I can't figure out why sound isn't working on kodi :'( this was the main reason we bought the Damn TV lol...

Can anyone guide me without the' have you tried turning it off and on again '? Haha
I don't need to change my audio cables as they work fine with the TV... I've already uninstalled and reinstalled kodi to see if that makes a difference.... Selected and deselected' pass through '.... I'm genuinely stumped ....

I would really really appreciate anyone's help xx

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file.

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Always use a paste site like pastebin.com. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum

Dont ask how this works or why it works with this tv but after a bit of trying everything this worked for me, 

First of all uninstall your kodi then on your tv go to your browser and put this in and install it

http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/android/...bi-v7a.apk

its a link for kodi 16.1 Jarvis

after install open it wait until everything loads then close it 

go to google play app find kodi and then update 

You will now have 17.6 with sound.
