The feature "Resume from last position" only works for media with an entry in the media database (eg. movies), but doesn't work for "native" media files labelled as "None", eg. recorded videos, in short: files directly played from list view.

It would be highly appreciated if this feature would be implemented for every media file ever played.

that's flat out wrong as such. resume info is stored for files, not library entries. it works just fine for non-library content in principle, are you referring to a ui problem? i cannot trigger it, it stores resume point and ask whether i want to resume just fine for me.

clicking a certain button might trigger different playback routes - one checking for a resume point, the other not. Just a theory

@spiff It's completely vice versa for me. Resume point is stored for library entries, but not for files. No clue why.

As a workaround, I'm setting bookmarks, but it would be nice if Kodi offers it at restart of a playback.
