Sharing movies from WD usb drive
#1
Hi all
Might be a silly question but here goes .
I run Kodi libreelec in my lounge on my nuc . I have a large usb drive attached with all my movies and music .

Is there anyway to set up so I can watch say a movie in my bedroom using Kodi on Amazon Fire stick or in spare room on chromebox also running libreelec .
As you can possibly guess I’m not that clued up on what’s possible .
Thanks for any guidance
Jamie

You could try enabling UPnP so you can share the movies/music with the other Kodi device.
One requirement is that all videos/music need to be scraped into Kodi's libraries.

I don't know enough about Amazon FireStick, but... I'm presuming you're asking if you can share the contents of the USB disk across your network somehow so that it can be seen by other devices?

I'm gonna say yes, since I know how to share content across networks... but I can't confirm the easiest way to do it.  Can Kodi share out the content itself?  Can it act as a streaming source?
