Kodi on my Sony BRAVIA KDL40WD650 tv

Hi There,

Im am new here and wish to ask a question that someone maybe can help me with.
I have a sony bravia smart tv, the KDL40WD650.
I think there is linux on? Im not shure, as i am not technical.
Is there a way to get Kodi on my tv?
Because i cant find google chrome or google play store anywhere on the tv.
Im sorry for my bad English.

From a quick search the OS isn't Linux.

Basically you can't put kodi directly on it, only via a device or box attached seperately via HDMI.

I think Sony only supplies Android TV on their high-end XBR series models.  Even then the Mediatek SoC they use is considered underpowered so the responsiveness of Kodi may not be that great.  Better to install Kodi on something like Firestick and plug it in.

It probably has some kind of apps on it so the general salesman considers that as smart
