I've got this same problem. Running Kodi 14.2. Just started happening this week.
However, it is not affecting my 17.6 build on a separate machine.
I'll post back if I'm able to fix it.

I also have this issue - I had a network meltdown recently, and have scraped as normal, but for some reason the movies aren't in boxsets.
I have tried via TMDB and via local information - but same issue.
Once Libreelec releases their beta version of Leia I will test that, as I realise that Krypton is at End Of Life.
Server: Ubuntu Server 22TB HDD running SAMBA
Kodi: 4 Raspberry Pi 3 running Libreelec - on the main PC - running Linux Mint

Still haven't been able to fix this problem. I tried using the Universal scraper and that fixed the problem but alas didn't do a very good job at scraping many of my movies so that isn't an option.

The changes to Movie Set scraping in the recent scrapers are no longer compatible with v15 and older.
