I took a backup of Kodi (LibreELEC). I then run the restore on a different installation. Nothing comes back. No data sources, menus, nothing. It's like the restore never occurred. No errors either. Any ideas?

What kind of backup? There are several options to make backups.
Which version(s) were used for the backup file and target device?

I just manually unzipped it to the "/" directory and it seems to have worked (so far). It was the Kodi GUI backup and restore from the System menu.
