Hello,
I am new here.  
I am using a RP3 with libreelec Kodi 17 and a Pi-DAC Pro.
I have used SSH to edit /flash/config.txt to install the dtoverlay code so that Kodi recognizes the Pi-DAC as a audio output device.

I can choose the Pi-DAC and it play through it well.

When the power is cycled, one of 2 things happens:
 - the option for the PI-Dac goes away
 - the option for the Pi-Dac stays but the audio output device reverts back to PI:HDMI (default)

Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean by this? Are you pulling the power when kodi is running or using the shutdown menu?

If you pull the power plug from your RPi instead of shutting it down properly, the settings you have done might not be saved. That only happens if you shutdown the RPi properly using Kodis shutdown menu.

...and no, i dont pull out the dc-Line from raspberry... i shutting it down properly :-)
