Is there a way to create a "In Progress" and "Recently added" widget for videos that are just stored as normal videos without metadata?
 My created widgets work fine for normal Movies/TV, but I have 10'000 videos that are named so crazily that I can't match them with an agent. (filebot doesn't work either)

Afaik it’s a library function, so you can use the features only if content is scanned to the library

Those widgets work directly with the video library metadata as you already found out, so anything outside that will be a problem to display, at the moment. A separate widget could be an option. Moving topic to Feature requests for now.
