I would like to see a function in KODI to dump settings and user added addons to a ZIP file - to be able to read them back into KODI.

Background is, I have several identical KODI installations running (twice Android, Windows, MAC OS) and every new set-up was time-consuming. By reading a ZIPped configuration data file in, this would be almost instantly done.

There is a generic XBMC Backup add-on. LibreELEC has its own internal backup/restore functionality.

Please note that different client devices will have different settings in the guisetttings.xml file, and can possibly disrupt Kodi workings on a different client device. Also binary addons can cause problems for the same reason.

It's in the Kodi repository under Program add-ons.

You may would want to look into MySQL for the library handling part of you setup... You would still have to transfer you skin settings
