Solved Kodi crashes on startup (Solved)

Hi All. Kodi 17.6 crashes on my Mint 18.3 machine on startup. Below are the details of the machine.

Below is the error I get when I start Kodi from the command line

$ kodi
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Broken nvidia driver. Please install one that is actually working.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
