hi all this is completely confusing me im trying to find out how i can connect kodi on my xbox one to my smb file share, i cant seem to figure this out can you help me

just a thought is it possible to access my share via vpn and use a url to access the vpn and thus access the share by url eg

http://www.yoursitexo.uk:vpnport/seevername/sharename/dir

 Personally i had to go with FTP as on my server 2016 NAS, NFS doesnt work with FlexRaid Drives.
