Just a quick note to say thanks, and let others know that this is still working just fine (on my X80X (if that's not swearing round here these days...)).

Just a shame that:
- the content is at such a low resolution - mostly 412 x 232
- the plugin can't fix the lamentable fact that the vast majority of ITV's content is truly excrable.

It doesn't do the same thing atall..

ITV Catchup is for previously aired programmes.
TV Catchup is for live tv.

Would it be possible to add filtering of the programmes? I would like an include & exclude regular expression to filter the programmes so my kids can watch stuff that is suitable for them (e.g. You've been framed), but not see unsuitable stuff (e.g. Secret Diary of a call girl), and so I don't have to see stuff that doesn't interest me.

Hi this plugin seems to have stopped working on apple tv. Has anyone had this problem too? It loads up all the programs and episodes, but when you try to play a video it does its thing, then the video just doesnt start.

Any suggestions?

I get the same on ATV2.. see the list of programs, just get 'working' for a few seconds then nothing.

I tried out the suggested fix and I'm afraid it doesn't work. From looking at the XBMC logs, the issue seems to be with handshaking and I suspect the problem is the one outlined here:

The solution is to upgrade to the latest svn version of rtmpdump/librtmp. I can confirm that doing so fixed the problem for me.

For reference, I'm running xbmc on archlinux and used the svn package from the AUR.

Thanks proteusplum, upgrading rtmpdump fixed this for me in Ubuntu 10.04.

I followed these instructions from the ubuntu forums:

The method in post #10 gives revision 568 which works perfectly.

Has anyone come up with a fix for the iTV addon for apple tv. I have been flogging the forums trying to come up with a fix. Is it a problem with the addon or apple tv?

with a current librtmp the plugin works. You need to look around the forums on how to update that on Apple TV. I don't have one.

As for the the instructions for rtmpdump, I just followed the instructions in the link I posted.
I do have the .deb file still if that's any help. It's only about 160kb, if you pm'd me an email address I could send it.
