DTS-HD HRA Audio Wont Play
#1
Hi

Not sure if I am putting this in the right section but I am running Libreelec.  I have a few UHD rips that use DTS-HD HRA as the main audio file.  When I try to play these files the audio doesn't work.  All other formats, such as DTS X, True HD, DTS-HD and DTS-HD MA play without any problems.  I am using a Denon AVR-X2400H receiver.  I tested the file using a i3 HTPC with PowerDVD 17 and it is able to play the file without any problems.  It is only when I play in Kodi, whether it be the version for Windows or Libreelec that the audio wont play.

Just wanted to check if anyone else has had the same problem and if there is a fix for it?

Same here DTS-HS HRA is broken,

(only certified sources are allowed to play DTS-HS HRA, so PowerDVD is working, Kodi not)

So does that mean it will never work in Kodi?

My understanding is we send audio in a compliant format (as every other make of AVR works) but for some reason Denon/Marantz AVR's only work with DTS-HS HRA from certain sources, since it works with sources such as PowerDVD then Denon/Marantz refuse to look at the problem or admit that there's anything wrong.

You have to ask a Team-Kodi Developer, for example "fritsch", he was in contact with Denon

Is it only newer Denons? My old AVP seems to work with DTS HD HR (Although don't have any UHD stuff that uses the format but BD and HDDVD sourced is fine).
