https://pastebin.com/QUbPGvZ6

18.1 from unstable ppa running on ubuntu server 16.04.4 lts. using HWE stack.
Kodi 18.0-ALPHA1 GIT = 20180304-89a53e4

Getting a timeout. Losing all video. Only way to get it back is either a reboot, or ssh in and restart Kodi service.

There does not seem to be anything other than a whole lot of library scanning in the log.

I am not sure what
Code:
NOTICE: ES: Client  from 127.0.0.1 timed out
in your logs (which is what I assume you are referring to) means. Googling the error message doesn't seem to reveal much.

How about a log without all the scanning, and a description of exactly what you are seeing.
Quote:Getting a timeout. Losing all video
doesn't tell us much.

Thats just it, there isn't much to tell. If I leave it alone for 2-5 minutes the video disconnects from my tv. The tv goes to "no signal" or something. Kodi is still running if I ssh into the box. No amount of keypress or remote activity restores it to working on the tv. I have to ssh into the box and restart kodi, or reboot. Either works.

Bottom line is after 2-5 minutes it loses all video. Total disconnect.

This happened at exactly the moment that I lose video.
Code:
NOTICE: ES: Client  from 127.0.0.1 timed out

Reason i said possible regression is i found an old post about xbmc dharma. Same problem.

Reverted back to Krypton 17.6. Same thing popped in the log a bit ago, however it's running just fine. So that error is nothing I guess. What would cause Leia to drop the hdmi connection to the tv?

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file.

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Always use a paste site like pastebin.com. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum

Please turn off library scanning before grabbing the log

Just an fyi, the above is a complete log. I  didn't cut anything. I copied and pasted to pastebin within a minute after the display crashed. I will be able to upload another tomorrow afternoon as I need the kodi working when the wife gets home from work. With scanning disabled.
