and try the method here to force Netflix plugin to play the videos in 1080p, Friends should be at least 1080p.

https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2796484

I enabled HEVC and set both the bandwiths in InputStream Adaptive to 500000000. When I play an episode of Friends again and choose the resolution it still only gives me low quality options. I must be doing something wrong..
I saw you made a workaround, could that fix my issue maybe? I don't know what the workaround is?

I do not know yet why you could not get Friends to play in 1080p, the workaround i did is already has been added to 0.13.21, better to ask here, they are much expert in Nvidia Shield problems.

Does anybody now if the netflix plugin actively tries to prevent you from using a VPN? I'm always connected via VPN and unless I disconnect I can't use the plugin even though it works fine via the web browser? My VPN is in the same country as where I actually am so I'm not trying to access other regions content, it would just be easier to have all my traffic behind the VPN.

In case of any error from installing 0.13.21 over 0.14.2 , try to delete the file "settings.xml" in

C:\Users\Essam\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\addon_data\plugin.video.netflix

After more testing installing 0.14.2 over 0.13.21 was OK for me, installing 0.13.21 over 0.14.2 was the reason for getting error message, solved by deleting "settings.xml" in the folder above.
I can't issue those commands recommended in the two threads. I get this error msg: "-sh: pip: not found".

But now, all of a sudden, the uninstallation works and I can get 13.21 to work again. But trying to use 14.0 or 14.2 still gets me the same error, must be something wrong with the plugin in combination with librelec or perhaps a certain combination of username/passwords!?

My reason for wanting to try the .14 release was to see if there were any improvement in video lag from 13.21. Even with the overclock settings recommended earlier I still can't get anything near smooth playback with 720p material on a RPI3.
Try to change the password and the email to just be in English letters and numbers.

Even tried with a different account using only a "." As special character in the email address and no special characters in the passwords. No luck but works with 13.21.

Does anyone have a functional search function? I switched from asciidisco's plugin to wintuxx's fork, because the original plugin seems to be rather inactive. Search still seems an issue though.

Thanks!

Thanks, my interpretation was that it was only forbidden when used to circumvent geo restrictions. Nm, it's not a huge problem for me anyway.

My girlfriend is watching 'Tidying up with Marie Kondo' e.g., but nothing is showing in her watchlist, nor does it turn up when we use the search function. It's pretty weird.

Behaviour is the same with asciidisco's version and with wintuxx's fork.

Hey guys. Problem I have is playing any videos on Netflix. I can log in successfully and  view my lists and click the movies but I am missing inputstream.adaptive plugin. I am using Linux Mint 19, Kodi 18-rc5 I recently switched from ppa:team-xbmc/unstable to ppa:team-xbmc/xbmc-nightly repository and still can not find inputstream.adaptive plugin anywhere. I can neither find the install nor find it disabled. This causes issues with not only Netflix plugin but Amazon plugin can not work without it also. From what I understand this plugin is only available with the Kodi 18 repo. any ideas?

I've been trying to get the add-on working since December.   I get sound and can see the overlay & background but no video.  I'm using an Nvidia Shield with Leia RC3.  Any ideas what the problem could be?

Thank you for that cache code to get the proper install file names. Had no idea these addons were done that way in Linux.

For future reference for other newbies wanting to install these two addons, here are the steps:

Close Kodi
Open Terminal
Run these two commands:
sudo apt-get install kodi-inputstream-adaptive

sudo apt-get install kodi-inputstream-rtmp

Open Kodi
go to Add-ons/My add-ons/VideoPlayer InputStream/
Enable InputStream Adaptive
Enable RTMP Input
These instructions will be required for Linux Mint apparently because they are not added to the original install for Kodi. Hope this helps others as it fixed everything for me. Turning off auto update for now to be sure lol.
